Trip to a Flute Maker's Studio
A few weeks ago we went to Chris Abell's Custom Flute workshop in Asheville. He makes professional grade flutes (of the type his wife, the musician Kate Steinbeck uses). Chris explained the process, the differences of sound with different materials and the life of wood.
